Skip Martin’s Love Notes features a trio of Grammy-winning musicians, a masterful mix of urban and traditional R&B, and a hint of smooth jazz.

“I combine the old-school and new-school styles with my steadfast discipline and dedication to the performing arts.” – Skip Martin

(LAS VEGAS, NV, U.S.A) MAY 1st, 2017 – Skip Martin is a maestro and master of both the old and new-school sounds, and he has the Grammy Awards to prove it. His flair for the performing arts has taken him on an incredible journey as a songwriter, performer, trumpet player, and producer. Martin had his first major success as the lead vocalist of The Dazz Band and was the former front man for the legendary Kool & the Gang.

Today, Skip’s storied success continues with his latest release, Love Notes. For fans across
generations, the lure of listening to Love Notesstems fromMartin’s rare ability to blend traditional and contemporary R&B with a hint of smooth jazz.

Skip Martin is joined on his latest project by a talented team of artists which feature ten-time Grammy Award winner Arturo Sandoval,(Dizzy Gillespie,) and thirteen-time Grammy NomineeTom Schuman of Spyro Gyra. Love Notes also features Stefan Maier, (Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra,) and Rocco Prestia of Tower of Power. Love Notes is a ten-track introspective that features two covers and eight new songs penned by Skip and various co-writers. Martin explains the creative inspiration behind the album, “I titled this offering Love Notes because every song reflects a different aspect of that emotion and each track reflects my passion for music.”

The key tracks recently released to radio include, “Holding Hands,” “PCH,” and “Careless.” In “Holding Hands” with its jazzy, R&B feel-good grove, it showcases Skip’s traditional influences. “PCH” has a more contemporary flavor, featuring Skip’s brass skills on Trumpet. “PCH” is the epitome of a “put-the-top down,” sunshine-infused composition. The trifecta of this trio of releases is “Careless,” a sultry song that takes flight with Martin’s vocal prowess, polished brass lines, and lands gently next to the ocean.

In addition to Love Notes, there are twenty previous solo releases by Martin, and he has recently formed a new band called Organic Neo and their debut release, Skip Martin Presents Organic Neo. There’s a reason you hear a sample of air traffic control on one of the songs within Love Notes –itis becauseSkip spends almost as much time in the sky as on the ground, committed to performing for his fans across the globe. It matters not if you’re a baby-boomer or a teenager, for everyone, there’s a lure in listening to Skip Martin’s Love Notes.
